Privacy Policy
COS Electrical Ltd ("COS Electrical", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
Information We Collect
When you contact us through our website, by email or by telephone, we may collect your name, telephone number, email address, property address and any project details you choose to share with us — for example, the type of installation you're enquiring about or photographs of your property.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, arrange site surveys, carry out electrical installation works, manage ongoing projects, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including certification and compliance record-keeping.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent when you submit an enquiry, the performance of a contract once you engage our services, and our legitimate interest in operating and improving our business and website.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information with trusted third parties where necessary to deliver our services — for example, our website hosting provider, our form-submission provider, our independent accredited testing partner for certification purposes, or where required by law.
Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet legal, accounting or certification record-keeping requirements, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled.

How We Use Cookies
This website uses cookies to support core functionality, remember your preferences such as reduced-motion settings, and, where applicable, to understand website performance so we can improve the experience for future visitors.

Terms of Service
These terms apply to all quotations, estimates and electrical installation services provided by COS Electrical Ltd. By engaging our services or using this website, you agree to the terms set out below.
Quotations & Estimates
All quotations are provided following an in-person survey wherever possible and are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless otherwise stated. Quotations are based on the scope of works discussed and agreed at the time of survey.
Scope of Works
Electrical works are carried out in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), Part P Building Regulations, and relevant EN and IEC standards, to the specification agreed in writing before work begins.
Variations & Additional Works
Any work requested outside the originally agreed scope — including changes requested on site — will be quoted separately and agreed with you before proceeding, wherever reasonably possible.
Payment Terms
Invoices are payable according to the schedule set out on your quotation or invoice. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, outstanding balances may be subject to late payment charges in line with UK statutory provisions.
Workmanship Guarantee
All installations are backed by our own workmanship guarantee, with snagging and aftercare included as standard. The specific guarantee period will be confirmed in your project documentation.
Cancellations
Should you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed appointment or project, please give us as much notice as possible. Cancellations made with limited notice once materials have been ordered or work has commenced may incur a reasonable charge to cover costs already incurred.
Liability
COS Electrical Ltd is not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. Except where liability cannot be limited or excluded by law, our liability in connection with any project is limited to the value of the works carried out.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
